senior Groups

We are dedicated to TEACHING the Art of Swimming and PERFECTING the Game of Racing!!

Senior swimming is the pursuit of the highest competitive excellence in the world of swimming and the desire to be the best that you can be. The primary consideration for moving into our senior program should be the "readiness" of the individual. They should be very goal oriented, willing to risk failure, mature enough to have sportsmanlike perspective, and have the desire to "go the distance".


We offer two SENIOR training groups:

Senior Orange and Senior Blue

The primary coaches for the Senior groups are John Smithson and Chris Bushelman.

Senior Orange

Senior Orange trains at our both our Evergreen and Deer Run facilities. This group provides the athlete a transition and adaption period as they jump from age group swimming to senior swimming. Increased training levels are a hallmark of senior swimming. Athletes are also pushed out of their comfort zone a bit more with regards to dryland training.

Senior 2 practice schedule: 6 practices are recommended per week

Monday/Wendesday/Frinday: 5:00AM-7:00AM

Tuesday/Thursday: 3:45-5:45PM

Saturday: 9:30 - 11:30AM


Dryland:

Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday: 6:00 - 6:15PM, Saturday 8:30 - 9:15am

Senior Blue

Senior Blue trains at both our Deer Run and Evergreen facility. This group is the highest training group offered at Quest. Swimmers in this group are committed to performance at the highest potential levels in USA Swimming - in training, in meets, and in lifestyle.

Senior 3 practice schedule: all workouts are required. 

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 3:30-6:30 @ Deer Run

Tuesday/Thursday: 4:45 am - 7:00 am @ Deer Run

Saturday: 7:00 am - 9:30 am, @ Evergreen


Doubles:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 5:30 - 7:00am @ Evergreen


Dryland:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 5:45-6:30pm @ Deer Run
